The Center for Digitalization and Water Technology has made significant strides in modernizing the Hargeisa Water Agency through the implementation of cutting-edge digital solutions. Key achievements include the development and deployment of a Smart Metering System to automate water usage data collection, a centralized Human Resource Model on the CRM system to streamline workforce management, and a Mobile Payment System to transform transaction processing. The center has also established a GIS Mapping System for spatial analysis, a Call Center System using VoIP to improve customer support, and a secure Data Center to house critical data.
Milestones achieved by the center showcase its commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, customer service, and sustainable resource management. These milestones include the strategic placement of LoRa antennas for comprehensive coverage in the Smart Metering System, the integration of a robust HR framework into the CRM system, and the introduction of the Monitoring and Collection App to improve customer interaction and debt recovery. Furthermore, the center's ongoing efforts in developing the Archival Records App and the continuous refinement of existing systems demonstrate its dedication to innovation and progress within the water utility sector.
