Hargeisa Water Agency General Manager and Ambassador King Tour New Sanitation Plant
Hargeisa Water Agency General Manager Mohamed Ali Darood and Ambassador Charles King recently toured the city's new faecal sludge treatment plant. This project, funded by the German Government, marks a significant step forward in improving public health in Somaliland’s capital.
During the tour, General Manager Darood extended his gratitude to the British Government for their participation in the broader water expansion project, of which this sanitation plant is a part. He emphasized the importance of well-executed donor-funded initiatives, asserting the Hargeisa Water Agency's commitment to ensuring all projects meet their intended aims and encouraging further investment in the city's water infrastructure.
Ambassador King praised the Hargeisa Water Agency for its remarkable work in developing Hargeisa’s water infrastructure, highlighting the basic sanitation project as a pioneering effort that will greatly enhance public health across the region.
